Today there are ACET offices in countries across Africa, Eastern Europe and Asia. acet UK supports some of these ACET offices through fundraising and training. Although these ACET offices are all independent organisations, we each consider ourselves a part of the ACET family.
Services that the ACET teams deliver (often in remote locations) alongside relationships and sex education include:
- Prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV
- HIV testing and counselling
- HIV care and support
- Support of orphans and vulnerable children
- Campaigning and educating about sexual violence against women
- Setting up kids clubs and youth clubs for young people to gain vital life skills
- Providing education and health services to sex workers and training them in alternative income-generating activities
- Training and equipping churches to support their communities with regards to relationships and sexual health
