During this Coronavirus outbreak, we will not be running any training in physical buildings but we are excited that we are still able to provide our standard RSE training, and the accreditation, by video conferencing software. We are also running teacher training courses and parents' workshops online.
We have worked hard to replicate the experience of our in-person training and also explore the new training options the digital venue provides. We also arrange for learners to access the same materials they would have accessed when the course is delivered in a physical space. The video conferencing training is as interactive and personal as an in-person course, and we have the same maximum group size.
For the online course, we will also post you a package of physical RSE resources to use during the video training.

Just like any learner who has completed an in-person course, learners who complete digital training will gain all the benefits of becoming members of the Esteem network, including an ever-growing pack of RSE resources. These resources include lesson plans and activities and the Girls’ Project, and the Boys’ Project (2 small-group, 6-session tailored RSE programmes).
Members also receive discounts on future training and ongoing support from the acet UK team. During the COVID-19 situation and beyond, we have plenty of upcoming resources and projects to support people to provide the best possible relationships and sex education.
One benefit of this adaption to digital learning is that hopefully more people will be able to access the training who have not yet been able to access an in-person course at a location close to them.
Technical requirements for learners to attend include needing a computer, a webcam, with access to Zoom or a phone or tablet with the same capability. You can learn more about the free video conferencing software zoom and can sign up to, for free, at https://zoom.us/.
In recognition that meeting people face-to-face can be really valuable for learners, once we are back to running training courses in person, we will arrange optional, free, one-day, in-person, update training events for anyone who attended the video conferencing version of our RSE training courses during the COVID-19 lockdown period.
